Bucksport High School Guidance

Welcome to the BHS guidance website where we keep our students and parents/guardians informed about what is going on and what is to come. Bucksport High School Graduation Requirements:

  • Students must earn 24 credits
    • 4 credits in English
    • 4 credits in Math
    • 4 credits in Science and Technology (Biology required)
    • 3 credits in Social Studies (US History required)
    • 1 credit in Fine Arts
    • 1 credit in Health
    • 1 credit in Physical Education
    • Proof of Computer Proficiency
    • Maine Studies requirement (most students meet this in middle school)
    • All students must complete 40 hours of community service

2025-2026 School Year

February:
  • 2/6: Add/drop period for semester 2 ends
  • 2/12: 8th Grade Step-Up SNOW DATE
  • 2/16-2/20: Winter Vacation, no school
  • 2/6-2/27: HCTC sign-up priority window (online application)
  • 2/25: Senior's scholarship workshops at BHS during school day
  • 2/26: Spring SAT sign-ups begin (Juniors)
March:
  • 3/4-3/5: Class registration (BMS 8th grade) for 2026-27
  • 3/10-3/12: Class registration (BHS grades 9-11) for 2026-2027
  • 3/13: Professional Day, no school for students
