Bucksport High School Guidance
Welcome to our guidance website, where we will try to keep our students and parents/guardians up to date on what is going on and what is to come. We hope to help make this journey through your high school years and beyond, fun and informative.
 

Bucksport High School Graduation Requirements:

  • Students must earn 24 credits
    • 4 credits in English
    • 4 credits in Math
    • 4 credits in Science and Technology (Biology required)
    • 3 credits in Social Studies (US History required)
    • 1 credit in Fine Arts
    • 1 credit in Health
    • 1 credit in Physical Education
    • Proof of Computer Proficiency
    • Maine Studies requirement (most students meet this in middle school)
    • All students must complete 40 hours of community service

2024-2025 School Year

November:
  • 11/2: SAT at BMS, 8am.
  • 11/11: No school (Veterans Day)
  • 11/25-11/26: Parent Teacher Conferences
  • 11/25-11/29: No school (Thanksgiving break)
December:
  • 12/1: FAFSA available to fill out online [student & guardian must have FSA ID in advance]
  • 12/12: FAFSA completion workshop in BHS library, 6-8pm, please sign up in guidance office in advance
  • 12/23-1/1: No school (Holiday break)
