Bucksport High School Guidance

Welcome to our guidance website, where we will try to keep our students and parents/guardians up to date on what is going on and what is to come. We hope to help make this journey through your high school years and beyond, fun and informative.

Bucksport High School Graduation Requirements:

  • Students must earn 24 credits
    • 4 credits in English
    • 4 credits in Math
    • 4 credits in Science and Technology (Biology required)
    • 3 credits in Social Studies (US History required)
    • 1 credit in Fine Arts
    • 1 credit in Health
    • 1 credit in Physical Education
    • Proof of Computer Proficiency
    • Maine Studies requirement (most students meet this in middle school)
    • All students must complete 40 hours of community service

Upcoming Events:
2022-2023 School Year

  • 3/7-3/8: Course registration, BMS 8th grade students
  • 3/14-3/16: Course registration, BHS 9-11 grade students
  • 3/16: Early Dismissal for students
  • 3/17: Professional Day, no school for students
  • 3/24: HCTC applications due for 23/24 school year
  • 3/31: End of Third Quarter
  • 4/10: 8th Grade Step Up Night @ BHS [make-up date], 6-7:30pm
  • 4/12: SAT School-Day at BHS for registered Juniors (optional)
  • 4/17-4/21: Spring Vacation, no school
